Arverickie House, autor M McBey

This 19th century Baronial House is in the Kinloch Laggan area of the Scottish Highlands. In the late 1800's Queen Victoria grew to love Scotland and considered buying this house but eventually bought the larger Balmoral Castle and Estate where today's senior royals still visit for several weeks every summer. The house and estate (lands) have been used as locations for several films, including Mrs Brown, Outlander, The Crown and the TV series Monarch of the Glen where the house was called Glenbogle. Access is by invitation only.
