The Church of Our Lady was built in 1352-1362. The "Glockenspiel" figures date from the same time. The Frauenkirche became a Protestant church in 1525, after the Reformation. Nuremberg was made part of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806. A Catholic congregation bought the church in 1810 and refurbished it. Catholic Mass was first celebrated in the church in 1816.
